How We Have Changed Our 'Glory'
What a shame. Just like our forebears, we have missed the obvious. God is perfect in oneness. And His intention is (and always has been) that His people be the same.
Just like the people in Jeremiah's day, we have changed our glory for one that has NO power to bring change and transformation to ourselves or to the societies in which we live. Listen to what God said in Jeremiah's day and see if you agree with me, that it is a pertinent message for today.
"...But My people have changed their Glory for that which does not profit... for My people have committed two evils: they have forsaken Me, the fountain of living waters, and hewn for themselves cisterns - broken cisterns that can hold no water." (Jeremiah 2:11-13) (Emphasis mine)
What a shocking thing it is when God's people in any generation, operate from a different 'spirit' relying on their own initiatives, ideas, training, education, motivation, eloquence, charisma, natural gifts, culture of the day, and the traditions of men, to carry out God's work.
The Truth of the Matter
"And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free."
Truth is the only thing that never changes and cannot fail. It stands forever because Jesus is the source of all truth. He is the way, Truth and the life. He is the Alpha and the Omega, the first and last, the beginning and the end, and, He existed before all things.
The truth is that Jesus is the appointed Heir of all things. He created the worlds and the outer reaches of space. He made, produced, operated and arranged them in order.
The truth is that He is the sole expression of the glory of God. He is the perfect example and the very image of God, upholding, maintaining, and guiding the universe by the word of His power. (Read Hebrews 1 in the Amplified Bible)
And the truth is that He is the first-born Son and you and I are given the opportunity to be 'born-again' making us a member of the Body of Christ, and transforming us into ‘God class' beings. Now that's the truth!
We must face the fact however, that there is an ever- increasing darkness covering the earth as a result of the absence of truth. Truth brings light and life. Deception and ignorance bring darkness and death. We are living in an age of ever-increasing darkness.
The vast majority of Christian people are motivated to promote their church, their ministry, their program, their pastor, their music ministry... all in order to make a 'name for themselves' just like those who built the Tower of Babel (Genesis 11:4). By so doing, we, Christians, are also walking in darkness, and not allowing The Light to shine. Jesus is NOT the central focus.
What We Must All Face
The greatest threat for humanity in the 21st century is not terrorist groups, or the threat of nuclear war, or global warming, or the increasing number of world leaders who want to eliminate all reference of there being a God. Nor is itfalse religions.
The greatest threat to humanity is a self-satisfied, “rich,” sectarian Church that is competitive and determined to remain independent from most other Christians! This Church system bears NO resemblance to the Church that Jesus said He would build that would prevail against Satan. Nor does it bear any resemblance to the Church Jesus prayed to Father for in John 17:21-23 that is destined to be perfectly one with every other Christian and be one just like Jesus and Father are!
The ever-increasing darkness pervading the earth is being exacerbated by a man-centered Church, who in their present state has NO ability to stop the darkness, despite countless seminars, conferences and prayer initiatives taken up by many, and millions of sermons preached every week to forgetful people, week after week after week. It is all useless if we are not prepared to repent and change our ways by becoming one Church, one Body, with Jesus as our Head.
Since Adam and Eve fell under the deceptive spell of Satan in the Garden of Eden, it has been man's default tendency to easily be led into Satan's schemes and ways. Christians too, have been spell-bound by him. From Satan's perspective his biggest fear and paranoia is that God's people would discover Who they really are. He (Satan) is terrified they would become TRUE sons of God just like Jesus their Lord and King.
Using deceit and flattery and working on man's innate need for identity (lost at the Fall) he has taken good Christian people on a search for self-discovery, find your destiny, self-promoting, ego-building exercises, and in the process they have built a grotesque version of God's Church made up of 34,000-38,000* separate denominations and ministries. Each group having its own identity, separate names, logos, branding, doctrines and activities, and in so doing they have effectively cut themselves off from the unlimited source of life and power... Jesus!
As a result, the world is unable to believe that Jesus was sent from God, (John 17: 21-23) and view the Church as just another form of obsolete, irrelevant religion.
Making a Name for Ourselves
In our modern thinking and ways, Jesus has increasingly been hidden and veiled by this multi faceted, multi-headed "church," as more and more emphasis has been put on separate denominational/church/ministry names, and CEO type "senior pastors" (no such thing in scripture) many of whom have become entrepreneurs and “would be” celebrities.
Because of the completive race to build mega churches men have decided it's important to put on a good show full of “sensation” tickling activities. Jesus has been shut out of His Church in order for us to be "politically correct," keeping up with the times, and preaching false hyper-grace, life-style messages.
Just like Jesus is portrayed in Revelation, He is outside His Church trying to get in. He has been knocking at the door of the Church for 2000 years but we can't hear Him! We are making so much "noise" that His knock is unheard. By the way, this verse was part of a message to the Laodicean church that was described as "lukewarm and neither hot nor cold" and they said, "I am rich, have become wealthy and have need of nothing..." Doesn't this describe much of our 21st century Church... perfectly? (Revelation 3:16, 20)
Can you see the gravity of the situation, and can you see that it's sin?
Is Christ Divided?
How can we refer to ourselves as collectively "The Body of Christ?"
I put it to you today, that tens of thousands of separate groups of people are NOT the Body of Christ described in the Bible. How can we be? Like Paul said in 1 Corinthians 3, "Is Christ divided?" He was horrified that the Corinthians were beginning to develop factions in his day. (1 Corinthians 1:10-13; 3:1-4)
Let me ask you the same question. "Is Christ divided?"
You answer should be “No!” Christ and His anointing can never be divided. The Godhead is one, and to truly be Christ's Body we must be ONE with Him and each other also.
How can it be any other way?
The Purpose of This Article
Certainly by now (if you've read this far), you would have realised that I'm not trying make people feel good or pander to innate needs for carnal feelings to be “stroked.”
It's also not my purpose to get people mad and angry but to cause us all to see the gravity of our situation. Truth often hurts. And it can hurt a lot, particularly when we realize we have been blinded by traditions and have slavishly accepted certain ways of doing things.
What must be emphasised though is that it's time for us all to repent and to "leave and cleave." (Ephesians 5:31)
We must turn, and "press toward the mark." (Philippians3:14)
Turn from the sin of independence and run into the arms of Jesus and each other.
This is a message for those who love God, and who love others.
Are you one of those?
It's also for those "who have or ears to hear" (Matthew 11:15; 13:9, 43; Mark 8:18; Luke 8:8; Revelation 2:7, 11, 17, 29; Revelation 3:6, 13, 22; Revelation 13:9).
Just as it was in Jesus' day, people on earth today have selective hearing. They are preoccupied with material things, career, future security, etc. This has caused us to become 'deaf' to the really important core issues... for example, what it really means to be a disciple of Christ.
You are called to be a part of God's last day's, transformed, re-formed Church. It's non-denominational, non-sectarian, non-independent, it's united, and, it's JESUS' CHURCH, because it belongs to Him!
If you feel the call to be a part of this last day's company (and I pray you do), please read all the articles on this site, watch the videos and register your interest by putting your name and email address on our mailing list. This way we can keep in contact with updated revelation and insight as to what we feel God is saying in these critical days, and on what should happen next in order for us to truly become Jesus' Glorious Church.
By the way...
This is not an 'angle' to start yet another Church to add to the 34,000* plus churches in existence! No, No, No!
We are only interested in the Church that Jesus said He would build. You know the one the gates of hell can't prevail against. (Matthew 16:18)
God WILL have a company of people called the Church, who are called to, "...become a body wholly filled and flooded with God Himself!" (Ephesians 3:19 AMP)
It's inevitable. Did you get that? It's inevitable.
Not because I said it but because God said it. What he says He will do, He will do.
A BODY, ONE UNITED CHRISTIAN CHURCH, WHOLLY FILLED AND FLOODED WITH GOD HIMSELF - A HOUSE WHERE GOD IS HAPPY TO LIVE AND WHICH WILL HAVE THE POWER AND AUTHORITY TO DESTROY THE WORKS OF THE DEVIL, JUST LIKE JESUS DID HIMSELF! THIS IS THE REASON HE CAME. (1 John 3:8)
We are being called to fulfil our destiny...
Don't forget to register on the mailing list and share this site with others. I'm hoping and praying I can get to connect with you and meet you, some day soon.
